Peyton flat out tells me she is NOT going to use the potty! No reason, just that she doesn't want to. She knows what to do, she just refuses to do it! This little girl can ride a bike but doesn't want to go potty! I have been letting her slide because she is not even 2 1/2 yet and I wanted to get past the holidays.... That plan has not went down the drain....
One of Peyton's teachers have been suggesting
pressuring me to get it started. They thought she was ready! So we went cold turkey last Friday on the diapers (except at night). I am surprised my whole house doesn't smell like piss! She uses those panties like diapers! Dropping loads everywhere. She even peed on my laptop! Nothing is safe!
Since last Friday, it wasn't until Tuesday that we had our first successful potty! Before you do the Potty Dance, it was not that easy! She cried and pleaded that she didn't want to. They she finally sat down but wanted me to hold her at the same time...I sat on the floor and hugged her for about 30 mins before the pee came! Poor baby
mama. The next day I thought she would be excited to tell her teachers she went potty... Nope! She cried like she was ashamed when I told them.
Wednesday, we only had 2 accidents the whole day! We are making progress but she still gets upset when someone talks about it. I don't want her to have this emotional roller coaster tied to going to the potty! We all try our best to make it fun and exciting. We dance, give suckers, m+m's, toys and stickers. That still doesn't help! Has any one's child acted this way? Was it hard to train your kids? What did you do? I would love to hear your tips and suggestions!
